For SchoolsWriter in the Classroom
Grades 5-12 Prince William, Fauquier and Fairfax counties, Virginia, U.S. Writer and educator Liz Armstrong Hall is available as a guest writing instructor. Working with classroom teachers across the curriculum, Liz encourages young writers to discover their writing "voice" as they craft short stories, poems, one-act plays and essays. She is also available to teach students how to write timed essays for the SAT writing section. Liz is an alumna of the Bay Area (National) Writing Project Workshop. She combines her training and experience as a professional writer to teach and model multi-draft writing: brainstorming, story planning, composing, revising and proofreading the final draft. After earning a California teaching credential from San Francisco State University, Liz taught English as a writing specialist in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has also taught creative writing, nonfiction writing and essay test prep at Fairfax Collegiate School in Virginia.
