Early Winter 2009

Burrrr. How many more days until Summer?
On the up side, this weather is perfect for brainstorming, drawing, planning, writing and making new year's resolutions.

On the writing front, my story, "The Giant in the Forest," appeared in the September issue of Highights for Children. In November, I attended the Highlights Foundation's creative nonfiction workshop in Honesdale, Pennsylvania.

My northern Virginia-based writing coach business for kids (grades 5-12) is up and running.

I'm also trying to organize a writing club for kids. This is a great way for budding writers to craft short stories and get feedback for their work in a supportive environment. I hope to start the club in early 2010. I'll need at least six kids to start the club. Please contact me for details.

On the pet front, Gracie has her own blog. Just click the link (below) and let her/me know what you think.

Stay tuned...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Liz
